Soy hablante nativa de español y traductora profesional desde 1997. También soy profesora de inglés, actualmente en dos universidades de Buenos Aires, Argentina, (modalidad plataforma virtual). Como profesora universitaria, preparo a mis alumnos para el abordaje de textos académicos, especialmente papers, que analizamos para encontrar la información particular en cada sección.

También soy correctora  de textos en español certificada por la Fundéu desde 2005 e instructora de ELSE (español como segunda lengua) desde 2017.

I am a native Spanish speaker and have been working as a professional translator since 1997. I'm also a teacher of English, at present at two universities in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a university professor, I prepare my students to the approach of academic texts, specially papers, which we analyze to find the particular information en each section.

I'm also a certified copy editor since 2005 and an ELSE teacher (Spanish as second language) since 2017.

I specialize in medical
texts, education texts (student’s and teacher’s versions), marketing and
social media. And as certified translator, I also deal with legal texts, like
contracts. I’ve been translating for the industry for more than 20 years. 

• Marketing: The aim
of the projects undertaken was always to add value to the product of each
company, giving the products or services an identity with the appropriate
vocabulary, beyond a description of their quality or usefulness. The search for
equivalent terminology was fundamental to successfully reach the target
audience.

• Healthcare: The
focus of the texts I have worked with is diverse: leaflets, prescriptions,
articles in specialised journals, medical records, instruction manuals, trial
protocols and research. I have spent a lot of time perfecting myself with
courses on the subject, in order to be able to report in clear, precise and
objective language, applying the appropriate style and register to each type of
text, depending on who it is aimed at.

• Education: In this
field, I have translated since year 2000 a great number of texts as part of
projects for major publishing houses, covering texts for students and teachers
in the fields of Social Sciences, Religion, Mathematics and Literature,
covering different levels of target groups, from primary school to university.
I also translated online courses for educational institutions and companies
offering training for their employees.

I usually use WordFast for papers, although I also use Trados and MemoQ.
