Texto de origen - inglés I’ve seen far too many broke, busted, and disgusted Christians over the years. I’ve heard one too many gospel songs about mountains with rough sides and children needing shoes. Even at twelve years old, I understood how preposterous it was that we lived that way. It never made sense to me when they told me the stories of Abraham and Solomon. I had heard all about how big God was in biblical times, and how He’s “...the same yesterday and today and forever.”2 I wondered how a God so big would have us live the way we did, especially since we worked so hard to stay in His favor.
