Broad cultural and intellectual background: Growing up bi-cultural in an intellectual family in the United States stimulated a lifelong interest in other countries and cultures. Twenty years in Peru and a Ph.D. in comparative politics from the State University of New York at Buffalo expanded my horizons even more. This breadth of knowledge contributes in many ways to the preparation of high quality translations.
