Hola amigos. Me pregunto si existe en inglés (británico) una fórmula retórica semejante, mediante la cual el orador avisa a su audiencia de que está llegando al final de su discurso. En mi texto va intercalada: "Durante gran parte del siglo pasado, ***y con esto termino,*** al llegar la primavera aparecían las violeteras en la Gran Vía madrileña".

  -> many thanks ormiston. Yes, it was because of this "lame ending" (not really a conclusion as such) that I suggested "final image". Perhaps it's been a very lengthy speech, and what he really means is: "and now I really HAVE reached the end"!
