Across very slow

I am working with Across on a 2GB RAM 1.66 GHz Windows XP computer. The program is far slower than Trados and Transit. Does anyone have experience with this and how to speed it up?

My computer is nearly the same. Across in slow indeed. I haven't worked with Trados, but I've worked with Transit on a by far slower computer and it worked better than Across.

I had this experience with version 3.0 about two years ago and so I stopped working with it.
I heard the current version 3.5 was faster.

Same here. Very slow indeed. I just had a small project a couple of hours ago.
