Dear colleagues.
I am looking for websites that offer volunteering work for translations from Spanish to English.
I have already looked at the UN Volunteering website, but there is none in this pair at the moment.
If anybody know of any other good websites for this, then please let me know.
Many thanks

I'll let you know if I come across anything in you language combination and I'll also keep an eye on this post to see what others advise/recommend.

Good luck!

Ana

Hello, I don't know if you have already looked into Translators without Borders:

http://translatorswithoutborders.org/

Yo have to apply and then you will be requested to submit a sample to be evaluated by professionals that are already volunteering.

Thanks for the availability!

@Susana.

I was unable to register on that site, as I do not have enough experience.
But many thanks anyway.

Spanish - English volunteering work Apr 2, 2015

Hello Luke

You might try Banana Link, an organisation promoting fair trade and ethical practices in the banana and pineapple industries. They also use English - Spanish translators.

I volunteer for them, and it has given me very useful experience.

www.bananalink.org.uk

Good luck.

I'm also looking for volunteer opportunities... Apr 28, 2015

I have the same problem with not having enough experience to volunteer for Translators Without Borders. Here's an article I found with a list of places that could use translators:

http://blog.rev.com/articles/language/8-volunteer-translation-opportunities/

Hope this helps!

Watching America Mar 12, 2016

I've just registered with Watching America as a volunteer. You don't need professional translation experience, you just have to do a test. They ask you to translate one news article about the US from the foreign press into English every two weeks. Your name appears on the published translation and they will provide references for you in the future.
