'A client has insisted I use Trados for a translation assignment and send him

have successfully created my translation using Deja Vu and would like to
export the contents of the TM into a format that will allow my client to
reimport it into Trados. I have done this before, but now cannot quite
remember how to do this. I have consulted the help files in Deja Vu (using
the F1 key), but have not been able to understand what to do. I have also
consulted the downloadable documentation from www.atril.com but my version
of Deja Vu does not appear to be the same as Deja Vu X, judging from the
screen shots shown in these downloadable user manuals. I bought my version
of Deja Vu just over two years ago.

Any tips?'

Here's how, Ron Apr 20, 2004

1. Create the project in Trados. To create a project in Trados, please go to my previous message here.

2. Import the Trados file in Déjà vu

3. Translate the file in Déjà vu

4. Export the Trados File

5. Clean the file in Trados while adding the segments to a Trados TM that you can create on the fly

Marcus

Exporting DV memory to Trados format Apr 20, 2004

Do your translation in DV as usual. When you are done, create a new DV memory, link the new memory to the project and send all. Then, in DataBase Maintenance, export the new memory to Trados WB format (will be a txt file).

'Hi Ron

I'm delighted to be able to let you know, that I have followed the
suggestions from Klas T÷rnquist below and it's worked!!! Amazing!!! I
thought his suggestions were among the long range of procedures I had tried, without any success (or at least Trados not
