My name is Kathleen Owens. I am a native English speaker. I studied Spanish as an undergraduate at the University of Buffalo, and as a graduate student at SUNY Cortland. I received a Master's Degree in Spanish/English and Reading Education in 1999. I have experience translating in a variety of fields and disciplines. I have been working editing and proofreading for 12 years. I have traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Spain. I have a Master's of Science Degree in Education, a Master's Degree in Reading, and a Bachelor's Degree in English and Spanish Literature and Culture. As an undergraduate I specialized in Classic Spanish Literature. I also worked for 4 years at a legal firm as a receptionist and Court Courier. I live in upstate NY with my husband, three children and yellow lab.
