agree  Bubo Coroman (X): yes, also "cookware" except if specifically including salads (uncooked), "kitchenware" may be preferable

neutral  Carol Gullidge: plates and salad bowls (see Asker's examples) don't really come into this category

agree  Charles Davis: I think we need a more specific term, like this. "Tableware" is fine as a general term for this stuff, but since this sounds like something a bit fancy, "presentation ware" is a good choice, I think.

agree  Carol Gullidge: was just about to post this, and for the same reasons. Furthermore, tableware can be exceedingly posh/fancy (re Charles' comment to Jenni)
8 mins
  -> Cheers, Carol, yes tableware includes 'silverware', for instance

agree  peter jackson: On reflection this seems to be a better option.
15 mins
  -> Thanks, Peter

agree  CBHarris: Servingware might be another possibility along this line.

Serving dishes and trays

Explanation:
The IMV ghastly word "serveware" exists (used by IKEA!) but most companies selling these products use "serving dishes and trays" or even "serving dishes, trays and platters", but that really is a bit long.
