On the use of ladders:

Sobrepasará en un metro una plataforma.
Inclinación 75 grados sobre la horizontal.
No sobrepasará los 5 m. **sin tener garantías**.

I think this means that the ladder should not be longer than 5 m unless there is some kind of "guarantee" but I have no idea what this is actually referring to. Any ideas?

I think that “sin tener garantías” means that the ladder will not be safe over 5 m. if it does not have an additional point of support.
