agree  Muriel Vasconcellos: Yes, I sometimes find that we use 'or' where Spanish uses "y". I used to teach my students to be on the lookout for that.

agree  Charles Davis: Or perhaps simply "adults with traumatic or diabetic paraplegia"; traumatic paraplegia is standard term (inc. in ICD) and "diabetic paraplegia" is used e.g. in BMJ here: http://jnnp.bmj.com/content/74/suppl_2/ii15 // Yes, fair enough. Some doubt there.
