Spanish term

Centros de Liquidación

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) EDI, billing criteria
This may be from Mexico (or not). I'd like to know what Spanish speakers in general and Mexicans in particular understand when they see "Centros de Liquidación" without any further context, since all I have is this alphabetical list:
"Dto/Cargo 5
Dto/Cargo 6
Dto/Cargo 7
Dtos/Cargos totales
Encargado
Entregar directamente en los Centros de Liquidación
Envase desechable
Fecha AAK
Fecha ACE
..."
Proposed translations (English)
4 +1 Clearance centres/centers

So I'm leaving the question without closing, as I think the polysemic possibilities may be interesting. Thanks everyone for helping out yet again!

Client/author mistake Turns out it was a mistake in the first place: the client replied to my query: "El texto "Entregar directamente en los Centros de Liquidación" no es correcto, debería poner "Entregar directamente en la oficina de ventas". Vamos a corregir el texto en la aplicación, en lugar del texto que aparece en la columna nativa traduce por favor el texto "Entregar directamente en la oficina de ventas".
Hola Neil ¿Nos podrías enviar algún concepto más de la facturación electrónica? No tengo claro si se refiere a las centrales de liquidación (en cuyo caso serían "Settlement o Clearing Centers---- in settlement of invoice" , o si se trata de centros que están en liquidación (on sale, under liquidation). Saludos

Clearance centres/centers

Hi Neil,
My initial thought (because I'm currently translating the law on financial supervision from French) was to think that this would be a clearing house, as in French it is 'organisme de liquidation' (in Spanish, a clearing house is a 'cámara de liquidación/compensación').
However, this is unlikely to be a finance translation as financial institutions rarely deal with 'envases' so I'm thinking that this could be a clearance centre (or center in US English). Many companies may have a central location where they sell - or manage the logistics for - their clearance goods (last season or coming up to their sell-by date or broken packaging or with slight defects).
Without more context, this would be what I would be inclined to use in this case.
Hope this helps
Note from asker:
Thanks for that MH :) I thought it would probably mean the second option (clearance goods centre) too, but it turned out to be an errant query. Thanks for your contribution ;)

thanks Rich!

disagree Billh : You are confusing clearance with settlement. If this is stock exchange type term as y,ou suggest, without further context, it would be settlement. Not clearing.
