Science - Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) / ecology

Clearly they are trying to make a distinction, but my googling hasn't yielded results. The earlier proz discussion of this was here, but was not very fruitful:

wooded pastureland, grazing land (for horses)

Explanation:
More of the same.
"Arbolado" means there are trees and "potrero" according to DRAE ise

I don't think there will be any major distinction, the form simply suggests to me that the "potrero" pastureland may be used for horses rather than other livestock.

You could use "range" for the "potrero" pasture, according to my Dictionary of Forestry (J. A Helms).

Range: a place that may be ranged over b : an open region over which animals (as livestock) may roam and feed.

The difference being that horses will tend to roam over a wider space (home, home on the range...). Note that the "potrero" pastureland covers a larger area (35ha.).
