notaría Explanation: Hola Jesus, las funciones del cartorio (en Brasil) son una mezcla de lo que serían las de un registro y un notario (en muchos países latinoamericanos). Pero en Brasil también hay registros (como los de propiedad); Por eso, tal vez me atrevería a sugerir notario, más que registro. El diccionario de lengua portugesa lo define como archivo de documentos públicos; "escritorio de tabeliao" y a éste, a su vez, lo describe como oficina de funcionarios públicos que redactan y conservan escrituras y otros documentos públicos auténticos; notaría.
