Spanish term or phrase: NO MAS PROMESAS FALSAS
Carrying over from my previous two questions, what I'd like is a literal translation because I don't believe these statements convey the point very well. Thanks!

This afternoon I nearly crashed the car at the busiest intersection in town, when I saw an immense bill board that read:

NO SE DEJEN
NO MAS IMPUESTOS
NO MAS PROMESAS FALSAS

Without telling people more, I'd like to know what you make of this. There were no accents of course. I'll put one line at a time. Thanks!

Explanation:
Late, but since I'm the only person who reacts differently, thought it worth it FTR. In the sense of promises which are not going to be honoured, this is how I would have put it. Googling throws up more for this collocation (>200,000), as opposed to "false promise" (163,000) fwiw... The Spanish doesn't strike any dissonant chords with me, and Google gives us thousands of egs. (Not usually a fan of this kind of justification without more detail, but I think it shows it's a common expression/collocation...)
