Key Words: Management, monitoring, pollution, river, reservoir.
In the plain region of Cordoba Province, the groundwater tends to be of deficient quality due to the presence of some noxious compounds such as arsenic and fluorine among others; that is why, superficial water sources are important for consumption of the population.
The Third river (Ctalamochita) sub-basin and Saladillo river one integrate the Carcaraña river basin with its drainage into Parana river, the exoreic system of La Plata river. The river is regulated by a reservoir dam system in its high basin and the Piedras Moras dam is the last one of them. The existing antecedents about the eutrophization quality and state and the necessity to guarantee the use of the resource as a drinking water source for several towns of the province are the main reasons for controlling its quality.
Within the frame of a strengthening program of integrated management of fluvial resource in the province of Cordoba, the Provincial Department of Water and Sanitation together with the National University of Cordoba have initiated, in October of 2004, the Third river (Ctalamochita) hydric system study. The tasks are carried out through an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional team work and the main objective is to make a diagnosis of the environmental situation of Piedras Moras reservoir and Third river (Ctalamochita) with an integral approach which contributes to its management planning. This allows the rationalization of existing efforts and the strengthening of institutions.
The monitoring is made from Piedras Moras reservoir to Monte Buey and it includes the identification of specific and diffuse polluting sources and the evaluation of the influence of the different populated centers and the factories settled throughout the river basin.

I have a BA granted by the School of Languages, National University of Cordoba , and I participated in a distance-learning course in reverse translation from Spanish into English: "Postgraduate certificate in Translation Skills", organised by the School of Arts, City University London and the Board of Translators of Buenos Aires Argentina.
I have worked with a group of researchers (Civil engineers, geologists, biologists and biochemists) for whom I translate their abstracts, technical reports, research papers on water quality, reports, drafts, agreements, contracts, entries and some personal documents (Diplomas, University transcripts).
In the last few years, my most challenging project was translating from English into Spanish and vice versa all documents (technical reports, Facility Agreements) related to the Hydroelectric Project on the Santa Cruz River, President Nestor Carlos Kirchner and Governor Jorge Cepernic.
