I am originally from England and I have a first class law degree from Cambridge University. I passed my professional examinations (Law Society Finals) with first class honours and worked as a trainee solicitor in a commercial firm in London for two years.
I have now been working as a freelance translator for over ten years. I am accredited (through examinations) with the Australian body NAATI as a professional translator of Russian, French, Italian and Spanish to English.
I work in all commercial and general technical areas. My background is in law, but I was very strong in maths and sciences at school (with A-grade A levels in maths and physics) and I am able to understand a wide range of subject matter.
I first started working as a translator for a local client, and I worked at their premises, which provided a very valuable induction. I am still working for that client on a very regular basis as well as now having a broader client base.
