English, French and Spanish → Brazilian Portuguese translation review, proofreading and QA
I am a Brazilian native and a full-time language specialist affiliated to SINTRA – the Brazilian Translators' Association.
After 15 years of experience in the translation business, I have chosen to specialize in the post-translation process, i.e. reviewing the target text against the source text, proofreading monolingual files and performing post-DTP quality checks. I have a passion for words and appropriate style and I can ensure that my clients deliver only perfect Brazilian Portuguese translations.
My qualifications include a Bachelor in Portuguese Language and Literature and Certificates in English and French (C2 - native level).
Over the years, I have specialized in Social Media, UI, Marketing, Games, Economics, Finance, Foreign Trade, International Org/Dev/Coop, Business, Tourism/Travel, Education/Pedagogy, E-learning, Legal, HR/Training and Government/Politics. I only accept work within these specialist subject areas.
My relevant work experiences include proofreading three published books (on sociology, psychology and education), working for Facebook's translation team for over 3 years and reviewing over 400,000 words in Harvard Business Review articles.
I have worked at the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), the Brazilian National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) and the State of Paraná Audit Office.
I am a proficient user of SDL Trados Studio and a volunteer Translator for Translators Without Borders.
