Texto de origen - inglés The World Forum on Energy Regulation (WFER) is a global event bringing together 700 to 1000 participants from over 80 nations. Delegates include energy regulators, government officials, policy makers and experts, energy industry executives, investors, academia, consumer associations, environmental groups, development agencies and other energy experts from around the world. The First World Forum on Energy Regulation was organised in Montreal, Canada in 2000. Following its outstanding success, as demonstrated by the wide participation of regulators from every continent, energy industry leaders, consumer representatives, development agencies and other specialists, WFERs were subsequently organised every three years (WFER II, Rome, Italy 2003, WFER III Washington, USA, 2006). WFER IV is due on 18-21 October in Athens, Greece
Traducción - griego Το Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο επί Ενεργειακών Ρυθμιστικών Θεμάτων (WFER) αποτελεί μια παγκόσμια εκδήλωση, η οποία συγκεντρώνει 700 με 1000 συμμετέχοντες, από περισσότερα από 80 έθνη. Μεταξύ των εκπροσώπων που συμμετέχουν συγκαταλέγονται ρυθμιστικές αρχές ενέργειας, ανώτεροι κυβερνητικοί υπάλληλοι, φορείς υπεύθυνοι για τη χάραξη πολιτικών και ειδικοί, στελέχη της βιομηχανίας ενέργειας, επενδυτές, ακαδημαϊκοί, ενώσεις καταναλωτών, περιβαλλοντικές ομάδες, υπηρεσίες ανάπτυξης, και άλλοι ειδικοί σε θέματα ενέργειας, από όλο τον κόσμο. Το πρώτο Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο επί Ενεργειακών Ρυθμιστικών Θεμάτων διεξήχθη στο Μόντρεαλ του Καναδά, το 2000. Μετά από την εντυπωσιακή επιτυχία του, όπως καταδεικνύεται από την ευρεία συμμετοχή ρυθμιστικών αρχών ενέργειας από κάθε ήπειρο, ηγετών της βιομηχανίας ενέργειας, εκπροσώπων των καταναλωτών, υπηρεσιών ανάπτυξης και άλλων ειδικών, WFER διεξάγονται πλέον κάθε τρία έτη (WFER ΙΙ, Ρώμη, Ιταλία 2003, WFER ΙΙΙ Ουάσιγκτον, ΗΠΑ, 2006).
