English term

Contract authority

Dice: "The term "Authority" means the Contract Authority."
"The Authority shall issue a UK RESTRICTED Aspects Letter which shall define the UK RESTRICTED matter that is furnished, or which is to be developed, under this Contract."
"Except with the consent in writing of the Authority, the Contractor shall not disclose the Contract or any of its provision to any person other than a person employed by the Contractor."

Alguna idea?

Muchas gracias!

Gracias.
Wordwatcher Dec 29, 2009:
El texto dice: "The Authority shall issue a ... letter." Asimismo habla de "the consent of the authority" Imposible que sea cuestion aqui de capacidad. " Vease: "The contract authority is that individual or organisation that is authorised to sign contacts on behalf of the acquirer." http://www.argospress.com/Resources/project-management/contr...
felicianomadrid Dec 29, 2009:
felicianomadrid Dec 29, 2009:
"contract authority -- Authority in law to enter into contracts or incur other obligations in advance of, or in excess of, funds available for that purpose. Although it is a form of budget authority, contract authority does not provide the funds to make payments. Those funds must be provided later, usually in a subsequent appropriation act (called a liquidating appropriation). Contract authority differs from a federal agency's inherent authority to enter into contracts, which may be exercised only within the limits of available appropriations."

Piazza, Was it the term "Authority" defined in the contract? If so, then it would be correct to translate it as "Autoridad" (which would be included in the definition, of course.
