Pero de qué tamaño son las esferas? Porque en ingeniería química normalmente se habla de "microesferas".

La frase sigue así: consisting of a sufficient quantity of larger diameter balls (typically ¾ - 1 inch diameter) to at least 3 inches above the top of the bottom distributor.
