El tema es que tenés dos puntos: no se bien el texto, pero crank out no es una máquina es un verbo y es producir por cantidades.
El crank que va en la línea de ensamblado es una manivela que se acciona para los trabajos, si querés leer cómo funciona fijate el link o buscá manivela en internet, eso es crank.

: This would be along the right lines if the source were "TO crank out" but I'm afraid that here "A crank-out" is a noun. "una producción mecanica y rapida is a manually operated apparatus", doesn't make any sense as "producción" is clearly not an apparatus

I am just trying to name it according to what its description says it does - I don't think it a common name or item in English.
Anyway you'll generally refer to it as the "control assembly" (that's the proper name given to the device in the source text) so possibly a good option for its translation is: "manija/manilla de control o maniobra"
