English term or phrase: To look for
"Look for students who have not yet developed the understanding that the last number named represents the quantity in the set."

Hi, this phrase is part of a maths lesson description. It's addressed to primary school teachers. It refers to the actual practice in the classroom. I am keen to find an accurate translation for "look for" in the sentence rather than arranging the sentence to the actual meaning in terms of structure.

Thank you.
