the holidays are almost upon us
a take on Jana's proposal... the 'almost' is important as it's not quite holiday time. Maybe "fêtes" could translate as Christmas -> "it'll soon be Christmas" although I know the US uses "holidays" for Christmas, cf the "scandal" of this year's White House greeting cards! ;-)
