Superscript and french quotation mark in SDL 2014

Dear all

I was wondering why some functions in Quick Insert in SDL trados 2014 are shaded. For instance I cannot find how to insert the following : « »
Also I cannot put a superscript like for TM let's say.

Can anyone help?

Dear Anne,

I'm afraid I cannot help you with the greyed QuickInsert icones, which hasn't happened to me before.

However, maybe the following key combinations will help:
* superscript : CTL+shift along with the plus sign (+)
* « : Alt 174
* » : Alt 175

Dear Anne,

the « » can be inserted via "Quick Insert" or with Ctrl + Shift + 6. Hope this helps.

Which file format are you translating? May 21, 2015

Hi Anne

As Silke pointed out, the « » should appear in the QuickInsert, at least for Word documents.

It does not however for all file types.
Which file type were you working on when you did not see the shortcut in QuickInsert?
