Discussion

Alicia Jordá Apr 8, 2010:
the question is: is the lab the patent holder of the drugs (then proprietary/tittle-holder), the supplier (contract/official)? the context has the answer, if not...the client
Lola Garcia Abarca (asker) Apr 8, 2010:
The term appears several times in the text. There's no reference made to type of drugs per se. Here, the L. Titular is like a supplier who ships pharmaceutical products to the warehouse. It may be a manufacturer or simply a company authorized to sell/distribute?

"Estos datos estarán previamente marcados en el documento proporcionado por el laboratorio titular."
Emma Goldsmith Apr 8, 2010:
Whole sentence? Hi Lola, could you give us the whole sentence in Spanish if there is one? I'm thinking along the lines of generic drugs (hence "titular") but I may be on the wrong track.

Contract Laboratory

From your clarifications I'd say "Contract Laboratory" since it appears that the laboratory is delivering these products and services under contract.
It's one of those cases when it would be much more comfortable omitting a superfluous Spanish word, but probably this is not a feasible solution.
