CONTEXT: "La empresa se sumó al ***desafío país*** de celebrar el Bicentenario con una región renovada, que crece, se desarrolla y trabaja para responder a las necesidades y aspiraciones de sus habitantes."

I know what they mean, but can't seem to come up with a natural-sounding way of putting it in English.
