As I understand it, amounts payable and receivable in (say) Swiss Francs are netted off and only the resulting net exposure is hedged (cubierto).

En aras de la pureza lingüística, se puede decir "compensar".

Por cierto, me gustaría pensar que el que hace la pregunta no sólo tiene internet :-) sino que, además, posee al menos UN diccionario bilingüe. Por tanto, si viene a ProZ, es porque busca algo más de lo que hay en un diccionario generalista.

neutral Alfredo Fernández Martínez : Creo que 'netear' no es correcto y no se comprende bien ... parece ser un barbarismo, o 'Spanglish'... No suena tampoco bien , la verdad... Quizá 'hacer neto'...

En el sector financiero, los barbarismos son legión. Lo que importe es expresar correctamente en el lenguaje financiero del castellano, lo que quiere decir el original.
