The factoring aspect is not as relevant as the commercial lending one. A lender will watch closely for inter-company trading between the entity it contracts to advance funds to and its \"sister\" or otherwise related companies, with which he may not have a financial agreement, as this could enable the borrower to divert assets, funds or profits.
In factoring, money is advanced against assets - usualy accounts receivable. If the borrower overprices what it sells to a related entity, it is then entitled to more borrowing power than what it would at normal prices, and this results in an undue risk for the lender.

Hi Jane . Je ne parle absoluement pas de "factoring" (et non pas de factorage) dans ma réponse. Mais bien de politiques communes dans le domaine du "franchising"
