Discussion

Marcelo González Oct 9, 2018:
post-registration (UK) = post-bac (USA)? I think determining what exactly is meant by post-registration would be a good first step here. The way the term seems to be used at the following site suggests it refers to studies that take place after one has earned his or her first degree, but are not necessarily graduate-level studies. If so, in the US this would be referred to as the post-bac level, a term that recognizes someone has finished his first bachelor's degree and, thus, may not need to (re-) take the first two years of a bachelor's to pursue either a second bachelor's or an undergraduate level certificate. If post-registration were the same as postgraduate level, I would think they'd just use "postgraduate."

Discretion: In clearly specified circumstances, **Assessment Boards** have the power to exercise their discretion in the light of their academic judgement to ensure that students are treated equitably and fairly, that academic standards are maintained, and students are not disadvantaged by administrative or procedural irregularities beyond their control.

Chair’s Action: An **Assessment Board** may delegate its responsibilities to the respective Chair in relation to recommendations concerning an individual student, subject to the approval of the relevant external examiner(s).

Maximum Period of Registration

The maximum period of registration on a course of study is the normal full-time registration period plus three years. This includes all periods of interruption when the student’s registration is formally suspended. Some courses accredited by professional, statutory and regulatory bodies [PSRB] may specify a shorter timescale. The standard maximum registration period for undergraduate awards is as follows:

María, the way I approached the search, as I was unable to find anything for "Undergraduate Post Registration Module Assessment Board" (perhaps I have not used the correct combination of words), but I searched for links for Universities offering oncology in the UK at the undergraduate level. The second link, I extracted those Universities which offer undergraduate (pregrado). I have no idea if this is a useful starting point, but if you had the name of the University (which you have not stated), this may make a big difference in narrowing down the options, IMO.

Note from asker:
You are right, Taña, I forgot about the name of the University - I had not taken my morning coffee when I posted the question!! It is the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Now I see things clearer with the help of this community. :-)
