Spanish term

"expresiones de ida y vuelta"

Spanish to English Other Other
Hi,

I am translating a newsletter about tourist events happening in Tenerife. One of them is the Canary Island Folklore and Traditions Event and is the section in which the tricky expression appears. Here it is to give you some context:

"En esta cuarta edición, la temática girará en torno a la emigración entre Canarias y América por el especial protagonismo que nuestras Islas han mantenido con el continente americano y del que se desprende un gran bagaje cultural que nos ha enriquecido.
Este acervo cultural, patente en ambas orillas del Atlántico, es el que el Área de Folclore del Patronato de Cultura pretende visualizar a través de música, charlas, cine y exposiciones, actividades que intentarán abarcar todas las “expresiones de ida y vuelta”."

I'm not really sure what would be the most idiomatic expression to use here. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

mutual influences

I don't believe that, despite the use of the word "expressions", the subject is confined to language.

"música, charlas, cine y exposiciones, actividades que intentarán abarcar todas las “expresiones de ida y vuelta”."

I believe it refers to expression in a broader sense. How the mutual influences are expressed.

"two-way" is better.
