En una escena de la conocida "Psycho", la madre le dice al hijo: "Do you thing I'm fruity?".
En los guiones que encontré y en la versión de la película que yo recuerdo, "fruity" se traduce por "loca", porque en realidad eso es lo que la madre quiere preguntar.
Ahora, estoy traduciendo un análisis de la película, sobre el ego, superego y el id. Quien lo analiza dice que cuando ella pregunta "Do you think I'm fruity?" sale a flote el superego, que es la parte obscena del ser.

Yo creo que traducirlo como loca es incorrecto, en efecto entra en la obscenidad porque le pregunta al hijo si la encuentra apetecible (que yo interpreto como más fuerte que atractiva) - vamos, que si le gustaría comérsela, en cierto sentido.

: Tal vez esté equivocada, pero diría que la acepción de homosexual es posterior a la película. En diccionarios antiguos no aparece.

"loquita, facil, ligera"
en un diccionario de slang encontre que "fruit" significa "a woman of easy morals" related to "easy-picking". En Argentina eso es ser facil o tal vez "loquita". No estoy segura de que el termino que encuentres se adecue a toda latinoamerica, pero tal vez te sirva. Suerte!
