Hallo again,
I would like to run an MT (machine translator) on Wordfast. I am using an iMac (quite new), and I have no clue how to get the connection done.
Can I use an internet platform or do I need to buy the product? If the latter - which MTs run on Macs?

Hallo again,
I would like to run an MT (machine translator) on Wordfast. I am using an iMac (quite new), and I have no clue how to get the connection done.
Can I use an internet platform or do I need to buy the product? If the latter - which MTs run on Macs?
What would the individual steps be? I have found the following in the mauanl:
Setting up the MT mode:
1. Check the "Menu, sub-menu for MT... " checkbox. 2. In the textbox next to it, enter the menu and submenu which, in Ms-Word, are used to translate a selection. This could be: Translate,Selection or Systran,Translate or Translate,Sentence etc. Do not enter a space after the comma. The comma is a delimiter between the two menus. If you work on tagged files with an MT package that does not support tags, check the "Remove tags" option. 3. Close Wordfast. In Ms-Word, test your translation package over a short sentence to see if it's correctly setup and running.
BUT, I have to give up at the first sentence - I can't find a checkbox anywhere. Wordfast has the command bar at the left of the screen, but I can't find anything resembling a menu in there. How do I open a menu?
As I have trouble with pandora's box as well (cf. my other post) - could there be some general problem with Wordfast on this iMac? I have reinstalled Wordfast, so at least it cleans the documents, but that's as far as it goes.
Any help is appreciated! Thanx in advance! ▲ Collapse

As far as I remember, this is not doable on Mac OS (yet). But please let Wf team know, to improve the Mac compatibility
