This might be a stupid question :-| but I could not figure out how to make MemoQ show the sentence I am currently translating as the center line of the translation window. Currently when I start a new translation I start at the top of the page and as gradually I arrive to the bottom, and then every following segment appears at the bottom.
How can I change to a centered view?

It's simple. Menu View > Pin Edited Segment to the Middle. The segment you work on appears in the middle of the grid if this option is checked in the menu.

I use this mode all the time! I like it more than having to scroll manually.
