A native English speaker, I have an MA in French & Hispanic Studies (Spanish & Portuguese) from the University of Glasgow (2003) and an MSc in Translation & Technology (French & Spanish) from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh (2005). I have lived and worked in the UK, France and Spain. I also spent seven years in financial services, working my way up from p.a. in a procurement department, to a technology sourcing specialist, and finally to a contract manager for business travel. These roles have involved everything from international stakeholder management to vendor management, and from strategic sourcing to contractual negotiations. This means business-related texts are my speciality. I now live in Oman and in my free time enjoy horse-riding and am making slow progress in Arabic!
