Tricia's translation, editing and proofreading practice is focused on medicine, pharmaceuticals and the social sciences. She has more than six years' experience translating and editing for language service providers, non-governmental organizations, university professors in the US and Latin America, and law firms. She is currently serving as the editor of the ATA Medical Division online newsletter, Caduceus.
A Fulbright Scholar, Tricia speaks, reads and writes Portuguese and Spanish, having lived in Brazil for a year and a half in 2008-2009 and studied in Costa Rica for a year in 2001-2002. She holds a BA in Spanish and Anthropology from Smith College and an MA in Media Studies from the New School. She completed the University of Chicago Certificate in Translation Studies program in March 2012. She prefers translating into her native English and enjoys editing academic and other work in English.
