The monotributo is a consolidated tax for small businesses, and includes the income tax, the value added tax (VAT), the contributions to the pension fund, and in some cases (if an agreement has been reached with the specific province) the provincial sales tax (ingresos brutos, or gross revenue). The inscription in this consolidated tax is voluntary, and means paying less taxes than if you have to pay them separately, the amount to pay is based on the average gross sales for the year, and may be adjusted every 6 months.
