The O.C.

I've already asked that question in English-Polish, but perhaps you will know what does it mean. Context: Some girl (fan) approaches to Keanu Reeves, and asks him: Remembre me"? He answers: "Yes". And the comment to this scene is: "International superstar remembers sorority girl form the O.C.? Well, it can happen!"

agree Tegan Raleigh : I'm from California and I've always just said "Orange County," but I'm from the north . I think it is "the O.C." but just "Orange County," as in, "I live in Orange County."

Thanks, Tegan. Good point. As a matter of fact, when I first learned that the show's name meant Orange County, I though "the" was very strange. I used to live in Texas, where there is an Orange County as well, and nobody referred to it as "The" O.C.
agree Refugio : "The" OC is purely an invention of the TV show. No one locally refers to Orange County as "the O.C."
