Adrian MM.: paid off is unambiguous for a bill, as opposed to bribing humans - 'will be paid' is ambiguous for discharged by being 'settled once & for all' or about to be covered by payment.//Let's not forget pay-off of a hipoteca vs. cancellation of the regd. entry.
