Hi people!
having a little difficulty with this one which I'm sure would be a snap for someone who's done a medical study before... Just need the part "Una potencia del 80%", the rest I'm pretty much set on.
Así para un estudio bilateral con un nivel de significación estadística del 5%, una potencia del 80%, una media de proteína ligada al retinol....
thanks a mil!!!

The fact that it mentions a statistical study makes me lean towards this option. Here's an example and definition in regard to statistics:

funny, John, I had been debating between potency and power. I'm still leaning toward potency, but still undecided despite your link! Thanks for your help! |

: Power would be the answer to this one, ie the power of the study to establish the statistical significance.

I'm not as sure as Carmen, but I believe this should be the term when it comes to drug products. I don´t recall having seen or heard the word "potency" in the pharmaceutical articles I've translated so far.

thanks for your answer Giovanni! I'm pretty sure it's not strength in this case, as it's referring to a medical study, and not the product itself. I appreciate your help! |

I was thinking of "Power/Strength" too but how about effective/effectiveness.
