French term

premier prix

French to English Bus/Financial Retail French grammar
I have a memory blank...How would one say "premier prix" in English. It's in reference to an "entry" model vehicle (verses a top of the range vehicle).

Thanks in advance,
Jocelyne.

"Trouble is, that price is often for the most basic model, which may not include all of the equipment you'd like."

Though not a direct drop-in translation for all cases, I think colloquially this is one way it is often expressed.
