The XXX boasts a long legacy of conditioning UK soils.
What is it about the deeper tillage job that makes it synonymous with a machine's name rather than that of its maker? One further example, of course, is daddy of all soil conditioning cultivators, the XXX.
Before setting out on this test report, however, we should stress that our assessment was truncated because of the wet weather experienced during the 2004 harvest. In short, 2004 was not much of a soil conditioning year.
But, first, back to where it all began - the mid-70s, when XXX put in its debut appearance on UK soils. Originally from Australia, the design was offered to a number of UK equipment companies before XXX finally took the plunge and decided to pump marketing and design cash into the project. Whoever it was that made this initial brave decision certainly deserved a large corporate pat from XXX, because the soil loosener has since gone on to establish the company as an ag all-rounder rather than just a specialist hedger firm.

Από την άλλη είναι πιθανό η τελευταία πρόταση να μας λέει ότι η εταιρεία κατέληξε να καλύπτει μια πλήρη γκάμα προϊόντων αντί να το παίζει στα σίγουρα με τα εξειδικευμένα της προϊόντα.

Ποιο από τα δύο είναι το σωστό; Ή υπάρχει και τρίτη εκδοχή;

Explanation:
Επειδή μιλάμε ούτως ή άλλως για αγροτικά μηχανήματα, αποκλείω την εκδοχή της χρηματοοικονομικής απόδοσης του όρου.
Η απόδοση ως "θαμνοκοπτικό" δεν είναι άσχημη, αλλά επειδή από αυτό που διαβάζω καταλαβαίνω ότι ψάχνουμε για κάτι ακόμα γενικότερο, προτείνω την απόδοση "κοπτικό μηχάνημα", το οποίο μπορεί να είναι "θαμνοκοπτικό", "φραχτοκόπτης", "ψαλίδι μπορντούρας", κλπ.
