Spanish term
UNI
Spanish to English
Medical
Medical (general)
serious adverse event - cardiology?
This acronym appears in the hospital record of a patient apparently hospitalized for complications of heart failure. He has a bad reaction to a medication and then the doctors attempt this UNI procedure:
"... se encontraba taquipneico, sudoroso, palido y refería disnea ... se coloca cateter vesical ... se indica furosemida ... se indica O2 ... then we have: "Se intento realizar UNI con lo cual presentó excitacion psicomotriz y desorientación" and later: "Se vuelve a intentar UNI - no lo tolera."
I don't find UNI in Cosnautas (didn't even find Cosnautas for a while).
What does UNI stand for here, and how do we say it in English?
Thanks.
