I have found "floor function", but mathematics has never been one of my strengths.
The text is about a punching machine with a CNC. The CNC performs a variety of functions which are run depending on the parameters used. The parameters can be user defined. The above is an example of that.

agree  Margaret Schroeder: In fact, with "floor function" you were on the right track, Willem, because this function returns (yields) the integer part.

agree  jfrb: the only difference between (some definitions of) the floor function and the integer part function occurs when the argument is negative: Int(-2.4) = -2; Floor(-2.4) = -3; Ceiling(-2.4) = -2.
