Continuing on from my last question, could someone help me with the translation of "arco de círculo máximo" here?
Many thanks and Happy New Year 2007!

Line A departs from the North Pole; it follows the 40th meridian East of Greenwich to the 40th parallel North; it then continues por un arco de círculo máximo until the point of intersection of the 60th meridian East with the Tropic of Cancer, and, finally, follows the 60th meridian East to the South Pole.
