Standard unit (of input). Standard denominator. Explanation: Energy consumption (and hence, energy savings) can be calculated using several different types of ratios. As for any ratio, there is an input, and an output. 原単位 is the denominator you use in the ratio. In the example, the document is presenting a way to calculate energy or resource consumption per standard unit (of something). For example, the plant might use 1000 kWh of electricity per $100 of sales, or 5000 kWh per employee per year, or 20 kWh per square meter of floor space per month, etc. The example suggests sales, production volumes (number of units shipped), employees, and floor area. Hope this helps. |
