Italian term

Bascula

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
ROTAZIONE PINZE ANTIORARIA BASCULA STAZIONE 1 RESINA

Please could you help with the term "bascula"? I'm pretty sure it's not weighbridge in this context as it's not weighing anything. Maybe it's tilting device? Not sure. The machine in question is a "resin impregnation machine"

Thank you!

Thank you Monica for your feedback :)

Maybe it refers to the machine brakes pistons (can rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise), used to stop the supply. What's in the following lines?
Carlos Cisneros Jan 25, 2021:
Scale or weight cell, a weight cell can sense the weight of something and send a signal to a remote display, thus, it has to be perfectly leveled to work properly
Thanks, @Wolfgang Hager. Would you go for weighbridge? I also found "platform scale"
@Emmanuella... yes it is
Wolfgang Hager Jan 25, 2021:
scales I would go for scales, as other meanings, such as rocker, tilting plane, etc. do not make sense. Weighing is very important in resin-based production, as proportions of hardener to resin is critical for strength, length of curing, temperature, etc.
New sentence I think this gives us another indication:

Il primo e l’ultimo passo della ricetta devono avere le stesse quote sugli assi x, y e z mentre la bascula deve essere posizionata a 0°

oscillator?

I think you are right, it's a tilting mechanism, look at this video, second 25:

It's when it happens the "pescaggio dell’impregnante", the immersion to pick up the resin:

I hope my information can be useful, though I am not sure about my proposal.
Note from asker:
Thanks so much, Claudia! That's what I thought too. I will update you as soon as possible as waiting from my client's feedback :)
