Una imprenta ??

En el diccionario pone "avanzada, progresista", pero está claro que ninguna de estas dos palabras se usan en este contexto.
Si hablo de "imprenta moderna", que es lo que más me gusta, me molesta el hecho de que se trate de una imprenta fundada en el siglo XIX, y tampoco sé si sería lo mejor. A lo mejor alguien tiene otra idea.

Sin disponer de más contexto me parece lo más adecuado - y no veo contradicción por el hecho que la imprenta se haya fundado en el siglo XIX.. En cuanto a "avanzada/progresista": sería posible si se tratara de una imprenta con una determinada filosofía - que imprimía e imprime sobre todo publicaciones de tal índole. Pero claro, ahí se necesitaría más contexto.
