Eine Ursache könnte u. a. eine um 30 % erhöhte arterielle Durchblutung im Armbereich sein, während im Beinbereich etwa Normalverhältnisse abgeleitet wurden (gemessen mit dem nichtinvasiven NIRP-Verfahren), so dass eine „Fehlanpassung“ der Armperipherie zum Herzen vorliegen würde. Weitere Untersuchungen hierzu sind erforderlich.
