Citizens' Service Center
Explanation:
The Citizens Service Center was created in 1996 by Mayor Dannel Malloy to provide Stamford residents with a single telephone number for service and information requests.

At the center, customer service representatives record citizen requests and forward them to the appropriate city division for action.

Citizen's Service Centers (CSC) are designed to streamline the delivery of many municipal services traditionally provided to citizens through the Intake Office and Municipal Directorates. The centers are also used to gather general complaints about city services, so they can be addressed in a thorough and comprehensive manner.

agree  AllegroTrans: OK but I think the asker needs a US term
51 mins
-> thank you, AllegroTrans; but CABs are also known in the USA.

neutral  Armorel Young: Would give the wrong impression, since CAB is a quite specific organisation in the UK, and the Bürgerbüro is not a branch of this organisation - also, you go to the CAB for advice on legal matters, benefit entitlement etc., not to get your Reisepass
2 hrs
-> no, you dont get your passport there, but info and advice as to the steps necessary to apply for it.

disagree  Rosa Paredes: This would be something like the Ombusman office.... ?
2 hrs
-> No, that´s not the case. pls read my links about the CABs in Bostan and New 'York.
